    Hi,

I had this and needed a new rear tailgate lock. This is a well known fault - the seal goes and allows water in. Have you noticed any wetness over the rubber lip at the bottom of the boot opening?

Mine kept settling the alarm off despite being locked. Warranty issue if you are still covered, if not it is easiliy DIYable.

    Dave
