    Hi there,

New to the forums. I have just bought an 09 Audi A4 2.0l diesel with the S-Line Executive package. Was a bit of a spur of the moment purchase so got one that just came in on the truck so did not get to spec it like I would have had I been ordering it.

Few questions for the knowledgeable ones here...

    1. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get the rear parking sensor installed? I see I can buy the official kit from Audi dealerships on ebay for £150. How easy is it to install or does anyone know if i could take them to my dealer and have them install it?

    2. Is it possible to get the satnav added on now? I have the 6 disc changer with screen and ipod system in glove box. If so how much would it cost roughly?

    Thanks for any help.

[1] Re careful that just before it's a dealer offering it that it doesn't mean it's the OEM kit. Most dealers (who aren't Audi just independent franchises) get kits and fit them. Some times they stick out proud rather than being 100% flush or they can't be colour coded. Make sure you find out first

[2] Dunno. I think you can retro fit the 2nd generation but the latest 3rd generarion is more tricky as it uses fibre optic links instead.

Quick question? How can you tell what version Sat Nav / AMI I have fitted to my car? Its a 09 Plate Audi 3.0L TDI SE registerred in April 2009?
It has the 2008 Sat Nav DVD installed in the boot below the B&O boxes and I have this little box in the glove box for connecting iPod or USB devices too? But no SD cards slots

yep - that's the 2G version. I had that for 5 months and found it strange there was no SD slot. I did have (guess you have) multi-CD so you can always load that with mp3s.

p.s. If you really want to use an SD then get the AMI cable with the USN connector and plug in a card reader. It worked in my car. Alternatively just use that with a USB memory stick

Yep, Thanks for that, I have purchased a USB lead (£25.00 from dealer) and I have a 2.5inch USB2 HDD caddy on order, I see a note from another guy on here saying that 320GB HDD don't work, so want I thought I would do is order a 500GB one and swap it with a 160GB one from my laptop? hoping this will work, then I shall put on 26 folders A-Z and copy all my albums by artest into each folder, so hopefully this might make searching for ablums easyer? I did try my iPod which worked great, but I found it frustrating trying to get to an artest say begining with letter V it seemed to take forever scrolling that wheel and so I gave up lol. is there no quick way of jumping down your iPod containts to get too the end, as I do have a rather lot of ablums on there, it seemed it was gona take forever
