I know this may have been done to death but Id like to know what chip options are recommended for the 2.7, Who has had their car tuned and how have they found the change - big improvement to be had in acceleration or economoy?

Hope to hear the low down on this as a newbie.

Hi mate, this model responds very well to remapping, and at a guess yours will be auto? it will transform the way it picks revs up from tickover and getting rid of that hesitation all auto's seem to suffer from.. if you want better economy then you dont want a big power increase, 30bhp/70nm torque should work very well on your car mate.. if you need any info etc just give us a shout...

Its the manual version 180 standard non quattro. Ive seen your web site and Im quite interested in your upgrades - is there much increase in percievable performance. I know its a big car and all but at present it feels that it piles on the speed rather than picking up her skirt and running if you know what I mean. Had a run in a 95 aero and yes the power delivery is different but the mid range was stomping. Is that sort of overtaking power achievable?

    Hiya mate,
We can get just about 40bhp if you want that bit more, seeing as your struggling with a saab!!! he he.
With the power and torque upgrades on this makes a very big difference.. bit like a fat bird thats been on a crash diet and *****d off very quickly...

I had my 2.7tdi SE remapped over a year ago and the increase in performance has amazed me and most passengers (except the wife). I do the A9 run from Glasgow to Inverness and back every second week and the extra power for overtaking is fantastic.

No idea how many HP’s or torques as I don’t really care, all I know is that it’s like a new car!!

So then spill the beans - who did you let under the bonnet and also did your mpg improve through this tuning?

A4Audi in Clydebank....mpg, who cares! No, seriously I have not noticed very much difference in the consumption, but I think that's down to the fact my right foot may be a bit heavy at times. I suppose the difference is in how you want to drive the car. Fuel consumption doesn’t really bother me too much as I have a Shell card in my back pocket!
