Remap by Angel Tuning

Just thought I'd post for anyone considering using Angel Tuning, Had Nigel out 3 weeks ago to remap the Golf, just got back from a long run and quite pleased with the results.

Much improved torque and this continues through to and above the normal 3000rpm drop off point, very nice for overtaking and lane changing on motorways!

As for fuel consumption, averaging 52-54 MPG on town work (if driven sensibly) and i've just got back from a gatwick run, got on the M4, reset the average fuel (1) and switched over to time elasped so I didn't play the MPG game, and didn't look at it until I was about to get off the M23 for Gatwick.

I rarely dropped under 70mph, M4-M25-M23, 59.4 MPG, I had to do the same on the way home because I didn't believe it - 58.8 MPG.

Only thing I have done to the car is to whip off the EGR valve and clean it out, and I had to loose a couple of hours on a saturday morning to fit a new clutch, but then at 99000 miles it was getting a bit tired!

quick update, just refilled tank, 650 miles from full tank to fuel light coming on.

guess the driving would be classed as extra urban by manufacturers
