    hi all,
    i own a 2002 audi a3,1.6 sport, its has 61,000 miles on the clock and hasnt been serviced since the 50k, occasionaly when i try to turn the engine on all i get is a buzzing sound, i searched this on the internet and i found this could be down to the starter motor, they said to put my car in 5th gear and give the car a push, so i tried this and the car jumped forward and then started ok, but its been getting worse and worse, and now it wont start atall! could this be the starter motor, and will i have to replace the whole motor? and one last thing, do i have to get a starter motor specifically for my a3? and help would be greatly appreciated.

    You should maybe check the battery and terminals first

    i presume there fine due to me able to turn on stereo, open electric windows ect? any more help please?
