Does anyone know if the boot storage net (which lies on the floor connected to the metal eyelets to stop "bags" from rolling around) which seems to come standard in the saloon fits the avant's boot? There does not seem to be a specific avant option for this.

Thinking about ordering one as looks quite useful and bound to be cheaper than the avant's rail load system.

Hi TiGA, I use a BMW storage net from a BMW 330 that I bought, (I was to tight (it was bloody expensive!)to pass it onto the new buyer) and it fits perfectly allowing unusually odd shaped things to be kept under control. Avoiding both damage (spillage) and SCUFFING!! when things swill about in your car. The nets are fairly standard throughout the äerian car building scene but worth purchasing.

Have you not thought of going for the BOOT FIXING KIT from AUDI?

    Thanks Dunk

I may have a look at the competitor's accessory collection!

What's the boot fixing kit? Think you may be thinking of the load area rail system. If so I left it off my options list as thought was a little expensive and a storage net would suffice for my purposes (mainly required to stop shopping bags and work files from slipping around). Not sure if it could be retrofitted if I changed my mind in the future.

I have turned the spare wheel cover around to the water resistant side which helps a bit as there is an ingress.

I have two pull down hooks under the rear shelf in my saloon. These are really handy for shopping bags.
I've taken the net out of mine as it was getting in the way.

73 KR you have discovered the "CURRY HOOKS", and TGA, if the net IS the way ahead, then convince your wife to CROTCHET one (For cost effectiveness)! Unless you are in prison! then you can let the tax payer rehabilitate you!!

There are two pull down hooks in the Avant, but could do with a few more!

When I searched for Avant cargo nets, the same part number for the A6 Avant and Q7 came up. Fits perfectly, but does't have the folding pocket thingie with elastic waistband. It's just a single mesh net (not doubled-over like the sedan version).

Buy some of those Elastic rope things with hooks on the end and then any old net, make your own. I dont use mine, its in the other little net holder thing to the right of the boot. Ive got a Mothercare Boot tidy thing in mine which cover the metal hooks so I cant get to them

I was fed up with shopping bag's flying all over the boot of my Avant......... I ended up buying a plastic storage box to keep in the boot.............. got some self adhesive Velcro and stuck bits to each corner........... the box can be removed when I need the extra space and the Velcro stop's the box moving about..........does the job just fine............
