    Evening everyone!!!

    Please can anyone help me?

    I have a mk3 vw golf 1.4. I have a small issue in the fact that my engine revs erratically when the engine temp is around 80 degrees, anything from 800-1500rpm, if i don't keep the revs above 1000rpm manually then the engine cuts out . At this point the engine refuses to start for at least 5 mins. Any suggestions?

    Sounds like it is running with a rich idle mixture.

    Other than that I know nothing at all about a MK3 1.4, sorry.

    I know its a different vehicle but i had a similar problem on a bike i had once and it was the choke stuck on. Im not sure if its possible for this to happen on a modern car but i guess thats kinda what BigCol said?
