    The VAG TDi's respond so well to a remap. I've done quite a few now and everyone who I've done can't help but smile after we take it out for a test drive. The gains vary slightly on the same engine as it depends on the fuel pump, turbo's etc. As with the newer PD's you can push the full pump a bit harder hence you get a bit more power.

    Hi all, just had my bora 90bhp remapped by Simon Coe from Upsolute (www.ccctech.co.uk) and i can't believe the difference it has made, it is astounding, the car is so smooth and the pick up is fantastic i can't stop smiling. He has took it from 90bhp to 116bhp and given me an extra 50lb/ft of torque which i was looking for as i tow a caravan. It was fantastic to watch him do his magic and he took me through every step of the re-map,he sits with you on the test drive and makes sure everything is ok, luckily for me mine was a late 1999 car, so had the newer ecu so he could re-map it through the port but he was expecting to have to take out the ecu and change the chips, either way i think £275 was money well spent. Simon reckons i should see a 10% increase in fuel economy and driving to work this morning the onboard computer was reading 66.1 mpg no complaints there then.

    There are 2 115's listed but with different what i presume torque figures?

    VW Bora 1.9PD 115bhp (285Nm)
    Before = 115bhp
    After = 145bhp

    VW Bora 1.9PD 115bhp (312Nm)
    Before = 115bhp
    After = 158bhp
    It might be like Passats where the 6 speed gearbox version has a higher torque output than the 5 speed version?Same bhp but higher torque

    Just having looked through the parkers website for the Bora 1.9 TDi's... the only varient that has the 310nm is the 130bhp jobbie.

    http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/...spx?model=1035

    Must be a mistake on his website then. Either way, just got an email off him with an attachment for the stats on the remap.

    Stock Modified
    Engine Size 1896 1896
    Compression 20.0:1 20.0:1
    Power (BHP) 115 145
    Power (kW) 85 106
    Torque 210 ft/lb (285 Nm) 249 ft/lb (338 Nm)
    Max Speed 126 mph 131 mph

    Fuel Consum. 56 mph
    59 mpg (4,0 l) 60 mpg (3,9 l)
    Fuel Consum. 75 mph
    47 mpg (5,0 l) 48 mpg (4,9 l)
    Fuel Consum. City
    39 mpg (6,0 l) 42 mpg (5,6 l)

    All in for £275... thats a good price considering the gains and he comes to you..
