    Hi all
Hve a 2007 2.0l tdi a6 avant which is the 140bhp version, really fancy getting it remaped but am worried that the extra power will have a bad effect on clutch, the clutch and flywheel have both just been replaced 80% covered under warranty.

Is there anything i should look out for?

are the clutches the same in the 140 and 170bhp?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi mate,
A remap will be fine as long as you dont go for full power then your clutch etc will have a better time coping.
Also helps the clutch a little as a remap smooths the power delivery so you dont get a sudden boost from turbo even though you have more power/torque.
Just ask if you need any more info mate..

Hi mate, remap has a lifetime warranty, and if the map is ever "lost" by a dealer there is only an admin charge for remapping again so wont be much.. They are only lost when dealers update ecu.
Think 'm lucky cos I haven't had one yet..
Just ask if you have questions mate, best you know everything you can.
    So, you a geordie? maccam?
