It could have been disabled via a vag com or the siren is broken

Last heard the siren some time in February and no vag com has been connected to disable so guess siren may be broken. Where is siren located? How can I get it replaced seeing that everything else works?

If you search on the forum you find the answer to this. Basically (i have this on my a4) the back up batts on the alrm have gone or you need to replace the horn/siren. I haven't got round to this yet.

Not sure if TT is the same but when you lock the car the red led on the drivers side door should flash quickly while the alarm is enabling after that it should flash slowly. If, when you lock the car, the led stay lit up solid then that indicates a definate fault with the alrm system. The led will still flash slowly after about 30 or so seconds.

Do a search for more info, but in the a4 the horn is located in the boot drivers side, i just cant be bothered with it personally.

If the alarm is located in the same position as on a tt then it is just behind the passengers side rear light, if it is not there then i would say it is on the other side.
