love my tdi 130 sport, 2003, had it for 6 months.

cleaned the leaves out, fitted new boots, runs like a dream.

Trouble is my dad (who's a car dealer) has now got a 2004 A6 TDI Sport 130 Estate and im tempted. Its got leather as well.

Never driven a 1.9 with the auto box - would be very interested to hear anyone who has driven both and could compare.

    Current thinking:

    For

    Brand
    Leather
    Comfort

    Against

    Economy
    Size
    Cost (1500 extra)
    I love my Passat!

Anyone know if its likely to have cruise ad heated seats? I have both in my Passat and would miss them.

Cheers for your help and ideas people.

ive an o3 130tdi sport est passat auto, best car ive ever had,140k,2 boots, cat, cvjoint, cambelt.had it since 85k,still nice n tight....but....£210 road taxaverages 38mpg at end of tank.mate had exactly same model n year, but manual...£135tax n 50mpg.pulls a treat, but tiptronic bit of a gimmick, never use it manually, may stick it in tip just to hold the revs up higher on gear changes if givin it some
aircons just stopped blowin cold...but cant blame it on the model

I dont think there'a an another big estate car of similar year that can have the speed & acceleration and still pull 50 MPG average !
I'm well impressed with mine, especialy coming from the 1.8 petrol engine that i had before !

    I can only agree!

My wife has a 53 plate 130TDI Sport Estate (manual) and after "borrowing" it for a while, I bought my own.

Sad as it is to have 2 near identical cars on the drive (one is silver, the other urban grey), I struggled to find anything that came close - Golfs were more expensive?!

I *think* the only thing I am missing is Cruise (having had it on most previous cars - mainly Mercs) but on my B-road commute, I probably wouldn't use it enough anyway.

55mpg commute, averages out as just under 50mpg for a tank, taking into account a little town driving.

An Audi is one I would consider too (nice choice to have to make!) so I'll watch this thread with interest - let us know how they compare!!!

If your Dad is the dealer, surely he can let you drive it for a whole day and check spec for heated seats etc.
