    HI, Im going to look at an audi A4 2.5tdi on saturday and need to know where the car/engine nubers are and what they look like. Also are there any marks on the windscreens?

    VIN should be visible on the front screen, lower left hand corner as you sit in the car.

    There's also the chassis plate on one of the door jambs.

    Check both numbers - make sure they match!

    Also, if you call Audi with the chassis number or reg number they should be able to tell you of any service history etc and you can use this to verify what the seller' is advising you
