Log book query - Mark 5 GT TDi

I have been looking at GT TDi's and have found a nice looking car at an independent dealer.

However, I've looked through the paperwork and I just wanted some reassurance on one point.

It's a 53 reg so one of the first Mark 5's, and the service book describes it as a Golf Sport TDi 103KW rather than GT TDi. There was no V5 to hand to cross check against. Am I missing something here, or is it not a GT?

Any advice would be appreciated. Anyone with the same model car with the same in their service book?

They all say Sport on the label, I think the dealers call them a GT before VW thought of using the GT properly and changing the front a little

i think it's more to do with english dealerships calling things "sport"
my 2001 bora was sold as a 130 pd sport.
the book and boot sticker say "hi l "(hi line)
it aint got leather,it's got "sports seats".
