I have got my nice new calbe from ross tech - I have been having a look at getting the car to do some of the things I would like.

I have managed to change the service intervals, and changed the do0rs so they all open on one click rather than two, BUT.

How do I change it so that the windows open and close on the key fob?

The standard coding was 258, this I have changed to 259 so that all the doors open. Having a look on the ross tech wiki site I need to change this to 04097 for the windows as well, but my controller seems to revert to 259 all the time, and the windows do not work on the fob.

The pop up window in VCDS, does not give me the option for the windows.

Am I missing something or am I not allowed this function?

The car is a 2002 passat 1.9tdi manual.

    Cheers John

You can’t do roll up on the fob on a Passat using VCDS, you have to buy a one shot programing unit from China that installs new software.

I don’t think so but why would you want to do that?

You don’t have to use the feature, it requires you to press and hold the lock or unlock button, you can still manually position the windows and lock the car.
