    Hi All !
    I have a Nov 2001 1.6S 16v Golf 4 with 60,000mls.
I dont think that the spark plugs have been changed since it rolled out of the dealership.
I think it is time that they were changed, and on consulting with my mechanic, have been told that the car needs platinum plugs with four costing £40 +VAT including an extra £10 to fit them.
This sounds a bit pricey for plugs ?
How often should plugs be changed and which ones should I go for ?
All replies, comments and suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Mark.
