Place amp clamp on the negative battery lead lock the vehicle and flick the bonnet catch so it appears closed, leave the vehicle for 2 hours minimum.
Zero the amp clamp and take a reading, anything above 0.030amps is a drain.Common faults boot lock micro switch, bonnet lock micro switch, ignition S contact, cooling fan run on.
If you wish to remove the fuses one by one make sure the door lock catches are flicked over to show closed and always allow for the vehicles networks to shut down hence 2 hour period before normal current draw.
This is not easy and you need a good electrical knowledge plus current flow diagrams to proceed.
The battery needs to no lower than 10.00 volts and check for a good battery negative, no more than 0.50volt (from memory)
Check the charge circuit for at least 14 volt after a fully loaded.
Check everything works and check for any fault codes as these two checks may highlight a potential area. There are few auto electricians who can deal with modern faults these days and they tend to be fitters rather than diagnostic and vag don't train there techs for a specific role as auto electrics are a essential for all techs, try east lancs auto elec
vag diagnostics, retrofits and general repairs
