    Hi
Need help, the starter motor on my beetle 1.6 is sticking, I want to remove it from the car, does anybody know if its removed from underneath the car or do I need to remove the battery and battery tray to get to the starter. Its well hidden and looks a pain to remove, any advice. thanks

Part of the work is above after removing the battery tray, part of the work is done from below.

Ok thanks for that will remove the battery tray and take it from there, the starter is failing to disengage, hoping giving it a good clean will solve the problem.
