L Reg 1.6 starts fine. Losing power intermittently on acceleration. Also have to disconnect battery when parked otherwise something draining power from battery. (Not a battery issue)

Fuel guage only works every now and then.

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks

    Gordon

Thats really strange i have just had to put on a new battery, something was draining the power on the old one, i had the RAC come out the otherday and he told me the battery drain could of been the alarm. Today I removed the alarm which was really badly wired into the car, insulating tape everywhere! I'll now have to wait and see if its still being drained. If I am still having problems then I haven't got any idea what is causing it.

I have noticed for quite a while now that the central locking is playing up, it has a tendency to lock itself whilst you are travelling along Although I have already mentioned this in another thread

Finally, my fuel gauge also works intermittently!
