Hi,

I have an 07 multitronic 2.0 TDi (my first auto) that I've just bought to replace my 05 TDi manual. I'm noticing that it revs pretty high first thing in the morning and seems unwilling to change up (in Drive) - it tends to rev to about 2300 rpm even when I'm not accelerating and going down hill. Also, with the paddleshift it is sometimes reluctant to change up even though there are plenty of revs (over 2000). I've worked out that, under normal circumstances, it will change up at about 1600 rpm with the paddles.

It's also way, way thirstier than the manual, and the best I've got on a run is 42 mpg....I'd have got mid 50's in the manual.

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

By the way, I have taken it to my dealer who 'can't replicate the problem'....which is a common response!
