What's your average speed?

Ok folks, seeing as we seem to talk about MPG quite a lot on here, that got me to wondering what peoples' average speeds were.

I'm talking about any journey, not just your daily commute, though I'd be interested to hear about that too.

So tell us some or all of the following:

Location, where from and to.
Time of day.
Time taken.
Average speed.
Distance travelled.
Was it mind numbingly boring, or quite good fun?

So my commute is...

Wallington to New Malden in South West London.
It's around 6.5miles and yesterday and today my average speed has been 6mph according to my trip computer. You can probably guess how I feel about that!

Incidentally I've done about 240 miles so far on this tank, and my overall average has been about 15 mph. Fun.

This mornings commute.
Gillingham to Maidstone 11miles = 25mph. Hit most traffic lights on green today. Unlike yesterday when they were all red.
Average over last 2638miles = 23mph.

Knaresborough to Normanton, 32 miles, ~57 mph

(All motorway, except about 5 miles)

i too got 57mph over 30 miles, stafford to telford on 'a' roads, that was going some though, think there is about 10-11 roundabouts, but this was about 4am with nothing on road best i ever did was 28 mins in my stuck to road like glue fiesta 1400 zetec go kart
