A6 Emission Control Unit Problem.

Hi,

I have a 55 plate A6 2.0tdi saloon.

In April this year with 63k on the clock I experienced the fault light for the above to be illuminated and the main dealer replaced the intercooler and hose and informed me that it had been 'holed by a stone'.

Now with 80k on the clock, I am suffering the same symptoms (fault light lit, loss of power (intemittently)) and am wondering if there is a common problem with these or, am i just unlucky .

Has anyone any advice please? I'm looking the best part of £600 otherwise .

The emissions warning light can come on for many different reasons; a fault code read will tell you/us what that reason is.
