out side temp sensor MK4 golf gt-tdi 130bhp

i am just wondering if any one can help me, you know on your dash there is a thing what tels you the temp out side, i think it is giving out the wrong reading because its sayin alot higher than my friends cars r tellin them, and i mean like alot higher not just a fiew degrees, so can any one tell me where i can locate the sencer go change it??? many thanks ~ADAM~

well it is there on my dad's golf 150bhp but mine if a golf 130bhp and its not in the same place, !!! many thanks ~ADAM~

The air temp sensor may be dangling infront of the front nearside wheel splash panel, just 'inside' the bumper. If you jack the car up enough and crawl under, you should see it. Thats where mine is anyway (Well, Im assuming thats whhat it is!). Strangely, not attached to a clip or anything, just hanging by the wire.
