  1. Quickest and longest delivery times for your cars?

As above. Not cars that are in stock, but ones with 'options' that have to be built. Whats the fastest and slowest delivery times you've had? Was the dealer over optimistic with the delivery time? Is there more of a wait for certain factory options - I've ordered a sunroof for mine and that seems to cause a fair ol' wait.

Ordered mine on 9 May with quite a few extras. Dealer quoted delivery date of early September. I have just been told by the dealer that it has now been built and is awaiting transportation. So I should get the car in a week or so - just as the dealer said!

Mine was ordered 26th of February and had a sunroof as well as the 1.4TSI engine which was/is in short supply. I eventually got mine just over 5 months later on July 28th. It was worth the wait, although I'd never do that again.
The dealers were, in Feb, over optimistic about delivery times telling me to expect probably at least a 10 - 12 week wait!!

    Hi.

I ordered a 1.4 TSI 122 at the end of June, with a bunch of options (but no sun-roof). The dealer quoted 12-16 weeks until delivery and I'll be picking it up next week (assuming all goes to plan) . That said, I was allocated a car that had been pre-ordered, so that may have sped things up a bit.

I ordered a 2.0L TDi the last weekened in July with a few extras, Lux pack, RCD510, camera, vancouvers and have been told it was built last week so expecting it in a couple of weeks.
If it does come when they expect, that will be 8 weeks from ordering to delivery. The dealer told me a maximum of 12 weeks.

No idea if the bluemotions are late but its probably due to the different trim!

I saw my car on Saturday and picked it up on the Wednesday Mind you it was the car the dealer had in the showroom. It had been previously ordered but that person had problems with getting finance. So as they say one man's loss is another man's gain

2.0L TDI GT ordered on June 10th, no optional extras as of last Thursday still no build date but dealership still telling me that it will be with them before end of September (although they haven't specified which year !). Almost given up chasing now and would rather just wait for the surprise phonecall one day to say my mythical Golf is here.
