    Hi everyone,

I have an 02 polo sdi which has a creaking noise coming from the nearside front. More prominent over rough road surfaces and strangely when the road is wet. Also when moving off or when car lurches forwards or backwards there is a creak. No sound when the road is smooth. could it be the bushes?

Also brake pad warning light is constantly on, pads, wire and fluid are fine, could it be the sensor?

All help would be much appreciated. Thanks

the creak is either the anti roll bar or its the large wishbone bushes this will also cause car to feel lurchy at front
on the pad side if your bridge the wires does it cure fault? if so its pads

thanks for your response, the answer is no, it does not cure the fault. I know of someone who replaced the sensor and that seemed to work but i'm not too sure.

if you bridge the wire and it doesnt cure the fault it will be the wiring to the car from pads
