    hi all
my clutch was slipping quiet badly the other week for one day, then it returned to normal for the next few days then slipped on another day then fine again after that , but for the last few days it wont slip even if i try and make it slip
i have a clutch lined up but dont wanna have to fit it if i dont have to

any ideas why it might just be slipping sometimes, is there anything else that could be causing it to slip sometimes?
    thankyou

this may be of some use to you.. i own a TDI 130 and it recently went in to a audi/vw specialist to have cruise fitted.. i mentioned to him that my clutch was slipping intermittently and asked for a qoute for a new one.. but when i picked the car up he said the slipping was due to a very slight diesel leak from a secondary pump (i think thats what he called it!!) which is oozing onto the clutch basket causing occasional slipping.. which is a damn sight cheaper to sort out than a new clutch!! hope this helps..
