Hi, I live in Australia and drive a 1995 VW T4 5 cyl Transporter Petrol model, which has been converted to a Winnebago.
Recently my vehicle had been losing power and then stalling when been driven in very hot conditions. I could hear petrol vapourising in the tank, and by releasing the cap and leaving the vehicle to stand for 10 mins it appeared to be ok for another 100ks, and would do the same.
However, the motor itself never overheats.
However more recently the vehicle has been performing similarly in cooler conditions, and maybe losing power every 50ks.
It has been suggested it could be a faulty coil, cat.converter, air filter, injecters.
It has recently been fitted with new fuel pump and fuel filter.

Any suggestions before I take it to a repairer who may guess at things and charge for unnecessary repairs.
