    Default Headlights Warning Buzzer inop – 31-08-2009,07:52 PM
    Hi
    My headlights on warning buzzer isn't working on my 2005 A3 sportback.
    I have read other posts on this problem.
    The interior light does not come on when I open the drivers door, but it does when I open any of the other doors. Also the display panel on the dashboard does not show the drivers door as open when it is.
    I have tried playing about with the door catch in case it was sticking but no success.
    Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it? Is it something I can fix myself or is it a garage job?
    Other posts have mentioned a switch and diode.

    Any help much appreciated.

    The microswitch in the drivers door is built in to the lock.
    It could be the switch or a broken wire in the loom, normally where the wires go from the door to the "A" pillar.
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)
