been busted doing 95 on 70mph motorway...

what am i likely to get? i have a clean license at present.

i've read magistrates guidelines and it says between 21-30mph over and it could be between 4-5 points. surprisingly my insurance is not that bad with these points on, i am concerned about the fine cos i am skint.

i dont know how old you are, but this is a dodgy area, you're awfully close to the 100mph ban boundry....

my brother got done recently for speeding (40 in a 30) he got 3 points and a £60 fine....

you can pay the fine in installments if it comes to it, they ask for financial responsibility details from you anyway, which is taken into consideration.

it better of been an unmarked car... Be more careful next time...

Check for bridges, slip roads, designated lay-by's, and unmarked (more than 1 aeriel on the car )

    Good luck

I have a magistrate here in the house.
For traveling 25 mph in excess of a 70mph limit you should be entitled to:
    4-5 points or a 42 day disqualification, and a catagory B fine. Category A, B and C represent 50%, 100% and 150% of your weekly net pay.

All benches are different though and sadly vary greatly from bench to bench.

Were you pulled over or photographed?

What about getting an 'elderly relative' etc to take the points if you were not pulled.

i am 25 in june... it was pool car used by work... so it's me taking the wrap no two ways about it.

it was a van on a bridge that i saw and slowed for.. but i guess if i can see them then they can see you.

i'm mainly worried about a ban and a big fine both would be devastating...

i was rushing and normal don't do that kind of speed at any length... well ****** off now.

If you need the car for work/business you may have a case.

    Drunk driving is another matter.
