first was it a marked or un marked car there are a number of avenues you can go down if you want to fight your case. let me know and i will fill you in. i was cought speeding and won my case.

thats a long story mate. but to make it short and sweet i asked for a number of answers to a number of qustions the police could not provide all the information so the case was droped.

With the time period, i think if u dont hear anything back within an exact year of the date that the offence was made, then they cant do anything about it. But, dont get your hopes up, i was foolishly driving my un-taxed car a few years ago (it had ran out the day before) and was having problems with the missus, drove over to her town to sort things out, got pulled, car was impounded, given a producer etc. 8 months had gone by since the offence, nothing heard, then exactly 11 months and 3 weeks later, a court letter dropped through my letterbox to get me! £225 fine but luckily no points, so but i dunno in your circumstances. But with what that guy said last about unmarked/marked etc, theres a list of tasks/checks that have to be made on each and every police car everyday before it goes out, and its common for alot of police to bypass these checks, as it doesnt really matter if they dont, however if you actually ask them about it, and ask for the records of checks for that police car that pulled you over to be pulled out and looked over to see if these "checks and tests" were made. 80% chance that they actually werent, so maybe that might help. If so, then they dont have a case as any part of that unmarked car could of been faulty on that day, so nothing is valid for anything they done that day. Complicated, but its worth a try. Ash
