hi all, bit of an odd question maybe and not sure if this is the best place for it but basically i am going to put the AHU 1.9tdi engine from my P reg A4 into my suzuki SJ413 samurai offroader project, ordered up the conversion kit to mount it to the suzuki box but now i basically want to get as much info on what i need from the car, ive got the whole car so all parts are available but i want to go with bare minimum really, have heard before that the dash needs to be connected and various brake sensors etc that would need bypassing? also is there a way i could connect up an aftermarket tacho to run from it?
    any help is mucho appreciated

The dash would need to be connected along with the ignition barrel reader coil and matching key, or the immobiliser killed on the ECU. The rest of it, I don't know I'm afraid!

all you need is a bosch ve pump one with a throttle on it , and the wire that goes to your coil take it off and conect it to the stop solanod , and then lots of power that is what i have in my mk2 golf , smokes the tyres in 3 gear on a dry road , with 90bhp injectors and turbo.

hmmm sounds abit expensive for my liking, ive got all the bits required for it to run elecronically as it should so think it would be silly not to use them i just need to know what exactly i require, obviously there will be all the sensors actually connected to the engine and ancillaries, the throttle pedal and ecu, its just what other bits and bobs i might need, don't really want to have to use the dash but i gather the immobiliser might not function without it?
    cheers
