I am taking delivery of a Golf Mk6 SE 1.6 TDI in a few weeks time and would like to ask if anyone knows what the standard badging is for this car. If you have already taken delivery of yours a photo of the rear would be great. Many thanks members.

I don't know if your concern is about de-badging, but if it is, the only badge on the back of a 1.6 TDI SE will be the 'Golf' Badge on the left and 'TDI' on the right. I will be taking delivery of mine this Thursday and de-badging was one of my questions to the dealer. However they no longer have the engine size on the back. It will only have 'TDI' hope this helps.

Is that for all TDIs or just the 1.6?

Thanks everyone for your quick response to my question. Your answers and photos have been a great help. The reason for asking is that I didn't want the engine size on the car.

I've only ever seen the 2.0 TDi with the engine size on the back.

On a slight tangent, does anyone know if you can get ‘TSI’ or ‘GT’ grille badges to go on the front of the MKVI golf?

Mine is due to be picked up on the 7th of Sept (absolutely peeing myself with excitement) and I feel that this would just put the icing on the cake from an aesthetics point of view!!

Before you ice the cake make sure you like the cake enough in the first place!
