    Default 2.0TDI Flavors - how to tell??? – 27-08-2009,08:12 PM
    Is it possible to tell the difference from the outside as to whether engine in the 2.0TDI is the 120, 143, or the 170 version?

    Just wondering.

    I dont think so. Same with the 1.8T in its two options. The B7 use to have a red T instead of a silver T on the boot to show the higher output I think.

    Yes - no problem for me. If I can get past, it's a 120.....
    A5 (Cabriolet) 2.0 TDI 177PS S-Line - Scuba blue, Technology pack (high), B&O soundsystem, Bluetooth (low), Heated seats, Autoglym life shine.

    The T colour is a mystery- mine is 220ps the highest output of the 2.0T on the B7 without a remap, and had a silver T before I debadged it.

    Got told by an Audi tech that it was whatever colour they had in the factory available at the time in the parts bin lol
    2007 MK5 Golf GT TDI 140ps Diamond Black
    2004 A4 Avant S-Line 1.8T 190ps Avus Silver w/black optics
    1997 MK3 Golf GTI 16v Anniversary Diamond Black- now gone!
