Audi A4 2.5Tdi Auto

Hi Guys, I bought an a4 2.5 auto 2003 model two years ago . Engine blew up, got that fixed then they said gear box was gone. They replaced both and charged me 9K to get car back. 50K miles later gearbox gone again in middle of motorway and went to a sudden stop in the fast lane. Yep it hurt. Gear box gone again. They replacing it under guarantee but wont give two year guarantee same as 1st one.
My fear is that the gear box will go again but this time will not be covered.
Is there a problemn with these gear boxes and is there a history of them packing up at 40 - 50K miles???

I think these boxes need a fluid change every 40K, did yours get done??

Oil was never changed although the car was serviced in an audi main dealer garage which has received some awards. Car was serviced from dealer it was bought from.
I've heard there are a lot of people with the same problem.

multitronic oil change is very important should have been done every 40,000 miles max, ask audi why this wasn't advised to you when the car was last in or when the new box was fitted?
