97 a4 1.8t aeb cuts out after starting intermittently

hi and thanks for looking at my post.
my 97 a4 1.8t sport with aeb engine is playing up.
it can be a cold or warm start problem where it cranks over and fires up for a second or two then cuts out, it will do this anything from 2 to 10 times before it will keep running. when its running it runs fine.
sometimes it starts perfectly and keeps running ok.
i was told to change the cold start sensor, the blue one but it hasnt cured it.
would vag com tell me the problem and does anybody know of somebody near me in shrewsbury, shropshire who has vag com.

sounds like an immobilizer fault and suspect it will come up with key signal too small
this is due to poor connections on the reader coil at ignition switch
get diag test done on engine and immobilizer
