    Hi all, some help please!

    55plate 2.0 tdi 140 - 50k miles

    Just drove my car this morning to the shops, all was fine!
    Got back in the car after about 20 mins and the emission control light stayed on and car went into limp mode!!

    I drove home just less than 1mile.. got home ok albeit slow!

    Called audi they say it could be anything and they will need to see the car, they are closed until monday morning!

    Just opened the bonnet to see if anything was loose but everything seems fine. I started the car, everything sounds perfect until about 20 seconds after starting when i can hear some 'spurting' sounds for about 15 seconds. The noise appears to be coming from the right hand side of the engine (right hand side when looking at the engine) near the bottom.

    Any ideas from the description above??? Got a feeling this is gonna cost me a fair bit!!

    If there is any kind soul in the wolverhampton area with a laptop and vagcom willing to come and check the fault codes for me i will be eternally greatful!!

    For all interested, Just sopke to Audi who said;

    "Good news and bad news.." They have run the diagnostic test, the problem is the Manifold and EGR.. EGR needs replacing but they can save the manifold! They said its lucky they can save the manifold as that would have cost a fair bit to replace. They said they can do the work today for ~£400.

    Having had a conversation with the technician regarding the cause, he said it could be down to driving style.. I mentioned I've only ahd the car 2 months but drive the car for short distances every day.. he said that is most probably what caused the problem i.e. Engine dose not get hot enough to burn of exhaust gasses and other crap! He suggested I take it for a blast once a week to clean it out!

    Man... £400! So ****** off!
    But hey could have been worse I suppose! Also I got them to throw in a Key fob code for free!
