    Hi

Changed my plugs today. Cylinder 6 had a really oily plug. Inside and out. Not sure where the outside oil has come from, whether its somehow blown out from the inside or has leaked from somewhere into the hole where the plug sits - as its in a dip.

I read somewhere today that cylinder 6 on a VR6 is a fairly common problem? Anyone confirm that? Or have any basic suggestions as to what would cause a large amount of oil on the plug.

    Paul

I remember reading about number 6 on a vr6 being a problem too, but afraid I can't add anything helpful. I did have a problem with my old alfa TS where the plug wells filled with oil, it was coming from a leaking rocker cover gasket, which may well be a similar cause with your VR. It's worth getting it resolved, if the oil gets high enough to interfere with the spark, you can get all sorts of problems.
