Hi Guys, any informed opinions on this one?
    130TDI Sport AVF engine 120k
Engine idles at 800 rpm when cold and hot (90c), at 70c sometimes revs will increase slightly to 1010 rpm and then settle to 800rpm then speed up again. It will do this until 90c is reached. No problems with engine - runs and pulls like a dream otherwise - just annoying

You could start by having a fault code read

    Hello,

I have a 53 reg Passat 1.9 AVF with exactly the same problem, have changed temp sender, head injector hairness and the engine still misfires (only when cold) i.e. intil it reaches 90C, sometimes I have impression it is going to jump out of the engine bay

    Thank you for any suggestions,

Ps. I had it scanned for faults but nothing there
