    hi all i have a 1996 A4 2.6 first off il tell you the work i have recently done to it its had two front shocks 1 new driveshaft two new boots on the drivers side an engine and transminssion mount the car when accelerating is fine but when ever you accelrate hard its as if the cars suspension sticks half way up then continues and the same when changing gea it makes a clunking noise i have had this car up on the ramp countless times and im at a loss as to what it could be i hear people talking bout control arms are we talking bout track control arms on the rack?? also finally it has a horrendous sqeak from the suspension on the right which makes a noise if u bounce it or turn it left to right im suspecting the top munt but am unsure any help would be very much appreacated (or however u speel it) lol

    yeah me again umm also wanted to know what bhp is in these?? and what is it in the 2.6 12 or 24 or 30 v? also decatting and k&n good idea or bad idea??

    The users manual will tell you what engine and how much power and how many valves etc.

    Does the clunk happen on level road or when going over bumps etc?

    well the sqeak i have had a look at i think its the bottom control arm the one with the d-link attached the dull thud is usually only under harsh accel and put the clutch down but the mounts have been thourghly checked many times and there all not flexing or moving and none are snapped would the control arm cause a thud if the bush in it was gimped? the bush being the one the shock bottom bolt goes through??
