tiptronic total sudden drive failure

2002 passat 130 TDI auto tiptronic. Going around a roundabout sudden and complete losss of drive to wheels in any gear. Anyone have any idea what might the cause be? Torque converter or box? Electronics?

If you know what the cause might be can you tell me how much it costs to fix?

I bought this car on ebay about 6 months ago for 2100 and I thought I got a good deal at the time....

It's impossible to say anything helpful as it would just be stabbing in the dark, but best to get a fault code read as it may point to a particular solenoid valve.

If mechanical, it could be all sorts, such as internal fluid leak so no pressure from pump.

found the problem. Vag com showed no fault codes. Started car up and put in differnt gears listening carefully. Could hear spinning noise in Gear but not neutral. Jacked up one side of car in P. Was able to spin wheel. Checked drive shafts/cv; driver side shaft had come out of the cv joint but stayed inside the rubber boot. Apparently going around the corner was sufficient force to pull it out. the diffential was allowing wheels to spin in P.
