    Hi guys,

    thought i'd the pros about a prob on the mrs Bug,

    popped over from the mk6 goof section so this is my first posting the new beetle threads. Anyway... to the bug mobile;
    I’ve just fitted a 3rd mass meter this week, so I guess it’s something else lol. The car revs really erratically at the lights and from cold, seems to be drinking allot of fuel, 300miles to a tank my Honda (yes I know) 2.3 auto accord does 364miles).
    I have a basic diag machine codes are;
    Engine
    17549
    16486
    16556
    Abs
    01314
    I’ve been told to check pipes for splits...... but I would know which pipes to check, any pointers
    Just nope it’s not both lambda or the car

    As I'm on nights and bored I did some research. They seem to point towards a Mass Air Flow sensor fault. Is yours firmly connected and not contaminated.

    Check all pipework after the air filter housing for splits that would cause a vacuum leak in the inlet.

    If you check for faults as recommended in the information below and have no success it is likely to be the MAF itself. I would wait for Crasher to respond before spending any pennies !!

    Code 01314 can probably wait until the other codes are investigated and cleared.

    Regards, Ian
