Volksdevil.com shuts down

Hello,

You have probably noticed that the Volksdevil forum has almost gone back to the standard format. This is because all of the features/codes/design i wrote were hosted on the Volksdevil.com server which i will not be renewing, its being used for other things at the moment until the hosting runs out. There are still some files hosted on there but i haven't got around to deleting/sorting as yet.

The forum will have lost its identity and features, but it will still be available at http://z14.invisionfree.com/volksdevil just as a basic invisionfree set up. I won't ever delete the forum because I appreciate that the odd few do still use it, and have made friends through it.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of Volksdevil as a whole over the past 8 or 9 years, even before Volksdevil.com was used for the whole Vw/Audi/forum/show thing...

I've not commented directly on this, as Lamin-x is still a site supporter, but I'm dissapointed tbh.

I thought the V-A-G was a show with great potential, much like VWfestival a few years ago, to turn backs on it now is foolish, but that's my opinion.

I dont know how the volksdevilers will feel about me posting on here, although I am a moderator over there and have been around a while.

In the answer to your questions above -

Yes, frequently, and was (am) a moderator

What was it like? - should be what is it like, we are still there
IMO, good, I have many friends through Volksdevil. We have always been a small community, well bonded and encourage each other to help out when ever we can.

Where have the members gone?
We are still on the Volksdevil forum, it has changed somewhat, but for as long as it works, we will be using it. As Neils email says, he wont be deleting the forum, it is Volksdevil.com that has gone. If you are a member of the forum then you can still post, nothing has changed there.


In the other point about the show, I dont know what will happen with it, if we can get the members together who have access to the details from the past few years then maybe there will be another, i hope so as i've only managed to attend 1 out of the 3 shows, but who knows.
