    I've done a Vag test on my sons 1995 2.6 V6 A4 with Climate/Heater probs.

The problem is that the blower motor runs at full speed although you can adjust the speed on the LCD control unit, but nothing changes with the blower actual speed.

Also the vents cannot be controlled whether you want to blow up or down etc.

The control unit was changed and no change with the blower speed, but the vents could be controlled, then the cold air-con would not work.

If the LCD control unit is totally disconnected the blower still runs at full speed.???

Having done the test, the errors listed are:-

    0604 Flap motor (G113 sensor)
1297 Footwell vent temperature (G192 sensor)
1296 Central vent temperature (G191 sensor)

Anyone got Pics or know where these sensors are and how to test them.

    Thanks

OK, Having read various topics on the Aircon control etc. and reading the Circuit dia. The High pressure switch on the compressor could be at fault where it also controls the blower, The Audi America pic shows it in front of the Rad, where its actually behind the L/H of bumper as you look at the front of the car.

Having found the switch and disconnected. The fan still runs at high speed.

To do the same with the low pressure switch, the Pic frorm Audi America shows it to be on L/H side of engine bay as you look at the engine near the bulkhead. Can't find it.

    Any clues ???

    Thanks,

I've looked at the vents and flaps behind the glovebox and central radio/CC panel as the codes are for, but cannot see any sensor for the Flap behind the blower the codes refer.

Also as I've said, the Blower runs at full speed even with the CC panel not connected/fitted.

    thanks

Carrying on searching through the net for info to the problems of the blower blowing at full spped with or without the Climate Control fitted.

It has been mentioned about the 'Fresh Air Blower Control Module'.

Any clues where would this be fitted and whats its look like.

    thanks

OK. Forget the sensors codes listed and the flap motors etc.

How can the Fresh Air Blower Motor be at fault when its running at full speed with the CC fitted or not.

Which why I am now looking for the Fresh Air Blower Control Module.
