    Hi All,

My first post to the forum! (Hope i've done it right!)

I've just ordered a Golf Mk6 1.6TDI 105 SE. Cant wait to collect it next week!

It has a RCD510 factory fit, with standard 8 speakers. Can anyone tell me what the shound quality is like?

However, my main question is, is it possible to have the Dynoaudio speakers installed by the main dealer or does this need to be added when the car is built?

From what I have heard the Dynoaudio sound quality is far superior to the standard output.

    Thanks guys!

    Anand

Sorry Dynoaudio is a really only a factoryfit option as you would have to pull your car apart to put in the extra speakers, amplifiers and cabling

Arrrrgggghhh!!! Thanks for the reply though :-) Anybody have any idea on what the sound quality is like without Dynoaudio on an 8speaker system. Is there a need to upgrade?

Personally, I'm glad I didn't shell out the extra for Dynaudio. I had considered it as I'd been used to a factory fitted Bose system in my Mazda 3 but the RCD510 in standard guise sounds just as good to me.

When I first test drove a Mk6, it had the RCD310, and I thought the sound quality was absolutely dire. Tinny, feeble, and absolutely no bass at all.

As I was used to a Bose system in my previous A3, I went for the RCD510 + Dynaudio, and I'm glad I did. The sound is excellent and better than the Bose, IMO. However, the 'standard' RCD510 may be better than the RCD310.

    Chris.

Interesting.... In that case, I just hope that the output and internal amp on the RCD510 is better than the 310!

I spoke to some Singapore VAGers who had retrofitted the RCD-510 to their Golfs and they claim the sound on the stock speakers were noticeably improved

Agree with cs2009 there - the RCD310's output is pretty poor - the sound improvement from just fitting a decent stereo is massive without changing the speakers.
