    Hi All,

I've just bought a Bora 150 Sport, which I have to say is fantastic, but I have one issue with it; the Central locking isn't working as it should via the remote central locking.

When I press the button, the drivers door unlocks (as it should), then I quickly press it again, and the other doors should then unlock too, but they don't.

    Any ideas?

I tried that, but still no joy.

I even tried the putting one key in the ignition and turning it to ON, and then locking the driver door with the other key manually, and then pressing the remote to unlock, this is supposed to sound the horn. You're then supposed to wait 6 seconds and then press the unlock on the remote again. This is supposedly how to fix my issue, but it doesn't work.

I guess I'm going to have to go to a VW main dealer at this rate.

Disconnect the battery for 15 mins and reconnect. This resets the ecu and may well fix this issue

Will that mean that I'll need a code for the radio on reconnection???

Needless to say I don't have the code....well not knowingly.

    SUCCESS!!

Disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU fixed the problem...wohoo!!

I still don't understand how come the ECU got it's knickers in a twist in the first place, but I'm so glad to have it working correctly again...you really don't appreciate how much you rely on central locking until you don't have it!

Many thanks to all of you for your help.

    Cheers,
    Brian

Its mad, the day I offered that solution to you , my own boot sensor packed up. And no disconnecting the batterey didnt work

I now have to stop the car and open the boot with the key every time, so 80s !!! Other than minor little things like this the car has been rock solid

How odd that it should suddenly stop working, but then if you're luck is anything like mine...it's not surprising. These things are sent to try us.

Is it going to be some dodgy wiring or has somebody else on here managed to suggest a solution?

hello, was wondering if any1 has heard of the problem with the 2000 Bora where the car wont lock via the central locking. but it locks from inside with the button on the door.
then from locked when ur inside the remote central locking will unlock with the key....

when pressing lock i can see the little red light flash but nothing happens.

    please help - Thanks Gazzer
