Hello Again, Is it me or does everybody elses rear wiper park perfectly against the bottom edge of the rear window? Mine is either too high or too low if I move the arm round on the spline, too low and it goes onto the paint or too high it goes too far round the other way.
Is there any way of adjusting it on the motor?
    Thanks Pete.

I have just removed the back door trim and exposed the rear wiper motor but I cant see any way of adjustment. It does say in the service book that every 20,000 miles adjust the wipers does this mean only the front?
    Thanks Pete.

I have recently noticed exactly the same thing with my 2002 A4 Avant. It's parking just a touch too low. I'm taking it into my nearest dealership to have the Aircon serviced on wednesday, so I'll ask (if I remember). I'll let you know if I get a sensible, not too expensive answer.

    Thankyou Doctor,
It would be great if you could ask, it is one of those stupid little things that drives me mad and there is probably a simple answer.
    Cheers Pete.

Took the car in this morning and remembered to ask. The lady on the service desk said it might involve removing the interior trim to adjust the motor, but I'll let you kn ow exactly what they had to do after I pick the car up.

On a positive note the courtesy car they gave me is a an 09 A4 3.0 TDi Quattro. Superb!

    Pete,

I'm afraid I can't ofer a definitive answer to this. They spoke about adjusting the motor, but they couldn't properly resolve mine as apparently the wiper arm is broken around the motor and they feel that it might be corroded to the motor spline. However I did see that they managed to reposition the wiper so it is totally on the glass, but it is loose and they advised me not to use it until it's repaired.

With regard to "adjusting the motor" I don't know if there is some adjustment possible in the mounting points of the motor on the inside of the boot lid to allow the arm to be rotated up slightly?

    Hope that helps

    Doctor,
I had a look today behind the rear door trim, the mountings for the motor are bigger than the mounting studs so there is a small amount of movement, it is now a lot better.
    Thanks Pete.

    Pete,

Glad you could get it sorted and that's something I'll keep in mind..... once I've got round to fixing my wiper arm.

    Cheers
