Hi. I'm new to this forum although have owned a number of VW/Audi cars over the years - VW golf GTI's *2, Audi A3 3.2 Quattro, Golf GT Tdi 150 etc.

I'm thinking about a TDI Allroad and hope someone can answer my questions -

    1) For the 2.5 manual, what sort of economy do people get? I never trust the official figures.

    2) Do you know the tax bracket the car is in? it's a 2004 04 car.

    3) Anything to look out for with these cars? Obviously check the ride height button works. Expensive I should think....

    Many thanks!!

I have a 2000 2.5 manual allroad and get an average of 32MPG (trip computer)

note: my engine runs cool (Thermostat stuck open) but most alroad owners say low 30s for the Allroad MPG

If I fill it up with £50 diesel and get around 400-425 miles out of it, which is around 30-31MPG no difference if i drive it hard or cruise at 58mph!! that maybe the thermostat causing the engine to run cold (80-85 deg C). could any one confirm if i can get better MPG with engine at 90deg C?

the tax is much more expensive after 2000 Mine was around £185 if i remember right for 1 years

Hi mate, get your thermostat replaced as your engine will be fuelling wrong as it thinks it's running cooler than it is, hence will use more fuell
Then have it remapped for more economy......
