Hi, I have a 2004 (53 plate) A6, my offside side light bulb has blown, I have tried to replace it but had to give up!

I tried by removing the plastic housing behind the light unit and squeezing my hand in, I tried pulling and twisting the side light housing but it just turns?

Can someone help, how do I change the bulb? Do I have to remove the whole light unit?????

    Any help would be appreciated

You will have to remove the air duct and the cover which sit just behind it. You can then unclip the two spring clips to remove the lamp cover.

Hi, thanks. This is a UK car so the side light I need to replace is the other side from the air intake. I have got as far as removing the plastic cover from the back of the light unit but the bulb holder just turns in its housing, I have tried pulling it and turning but it will not come out. I am sure there will be a technique but so far I have no idea!

You are nearly there: In the manual it states: –
Turn bulb holder -1- anti-clockwise and pull
    it out of headlight housing.
    – Pull side light bulb out of holder.
