    hi all
i have a 1999 bora 1.6, the abs seems to be cutting in when i brake, its not that i am braking too hard because it does it as i am rolling almost to a standstill. Sometimes the abs light comes on and sometimes it doesnt.
i have taken it to two garages and each time they have changed the f/r/h wheel sensor as it was showing the code fault on their computer.
it has not changed a thing and i have no spare cash to do anymore to it. my friend is technical minded but requires some advice before having a look. Can any of you advise me on what to try next.....????? thanks.

i may be way off base, but if the sensor is showing a fault and you've replaced it twice (unsure why the garage would do this twice...) then i would be looking more towards the actual wiring for the sensor, i'm sure i have seen that the wiring can suffer from water ingress and wear.... may be an area to consider?
