A4 Tail swing

Hello, i own an audi A4 TDi 1999, ive had no problems with this car in all the time ive owned it, but ive noticed lately that if driving over uneven or very bumpy ground it feels as if the tail swings or jumps, especially if taking a bend to the left, it very annoying, does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tightened up your rear wheel bearings lately, this is meant to be performed regularly on a B5 A4, but noone (including me) ever seems to do it.

No im not sure is it something i could do or would a garage have to do this, it isnt due a service yet for a cpl monts i'd say, and mot till sept

Experienced a similiar problem with my 2002 Avant.

It was doing it when I bought it (42k) and replaced rear tyres which seemed to do the business but 10k later it came back also showing very unusual tyre wear pattern on the rear tyres.

Had the 4 wheel alignment done - it was out - and now drive a completely different car!

Audi quoted me £235!!!

Falmouth Tyres £65.00 incl. Vat and was told that their kit cost £30k

Audi quoted me similiar and gave me some story that it takes 2.5 hours......
