Hi there everybody. I have just joined the forum, despite having owned my Audi A4 1.9TDi for the best part of 4 years. Don't ask why it took so long.

I have been having a wander through the threads and have already found a few interesting and helpful ones. I'm trying to avoid looking too closely at those which detail adding new toys...... that can only lead to ruin for me.

I hope that it won't be too long before I can add something constructive to the forum, but in the mean time.... keep it on the black stuff!

    rossi is the dogs
but to be honest i like stoner and melandri
the reasons being 1/ stoner is the only one who can ride the ducati
2/ melandri is just a brilliant rider whos had a s--t deal
but watch out for lorenzo if he goes to honda!

I'm inclined to agree with you for pretty much all of that. Except to say that Capirossi managed to ride the Duc, but he obviously switched when Ducatti wanted to take on Stoner. Certainly I think that the Ducatti is a bike that takes a certain sort of rider.

I must say I'm really impressed with what Melandri has been able to do at Kawasaki this year. Not HIS greatest results I grant you, but far better than anyone else has done on that old barge.

Lorenzo is definitely a star in the making, but he'd have to achieve a great deal to be classed as good and consistent as Rossi, but perhaps time will prove me wrong.

I'm not entirely sure that Rossi has had it all his own way. Certainly Lorenzo and Stoner are making work hard for this championship, and I don't believe that he has won it yet. There's a long way to go.

I agree that next year will be interesting, particularly if Lorenzo does go to Honda. He does deserve to be a Number 1 rider in a factory team.

Will shall see what the season produces.
